Benjamin van der Sanden started working at ATC the Netherlands in 2007. Since 2010, he works as a Ground Controller at Schiphol airport (EHAM) and recentlyu, he began training as a Runway Controller. Between 2014 and 2019, he combined his operational duties with a role as operations export procedures. At the end of 2019, he resigned from that function to take up the role of operational expert safety.

Benjamin has been a member of IFATCA’s Technical and Operations Committee since 2014. He now replaces Ignacio Baca on the Executive Board as EVP Technical. He was elected to be IFATCA’s Executive Vice President Technical at the 2023 Annual Conference.
